Mark Wise (that’s me) is a family doctor in Toronto, Canada. In addition to receiving his medical degree from the University of Toronto, he studied tropical medicine at The London School of Tropical Medicine.
For more than 30 years, he has been involved in Family Practice and Tropical and Travel Medicine. He is the author of two books on travel medicine, the most recent being TRAVEL HEALTH GUIDE.
He is the medical advisor to CUSO-VSO and several other NGOs, and frequently speaks to both medical and non-medical groups.
Over the years, he has been fortunate to visit most parts of the world for work or pleasure. In June 2011, he will be completing seven years as a board member for Canadian Feed The Children. Other interests include coffee at Tim Hortons with the Globe and Mail, wine making, squash and his children and grandchildren.
